Workshops at Tacoma Tool Library

The Tacoma Tool Library is delighted to announce our first two workshops, in partnership with Rebuilding Together South Sound (RTSS). RTSS will be hosting the workshops in our space, as part of Neighborhood Makeover Week. Although it's always been a goal of ours to open our space up for workshops and drop-in nights, we haven't done one yet, and we're grateful for a partner to help us as we dip our toes in the water. Please join us for our inaugural workshops, hosted by RTSS:

Monday April 25, 6pm, Preventative Home Maintenance Workshop

Thursday April 28, 6pm, Rain Barrel Workshop

Want to see more of these workshops?

As we test out the waters with RTSS, we are planning a summer series of free workshops and drop-in nights at the library. And we need your help! In order to do it right, we need to buy materials and pay our instructors. Please help us reach our goal of $1,800 to fund a high-quality summer workshop series by donating to our ioby campaign.

The series will feature 9 workshops and drop-in sessions that build skills and confidence in using tools. Sessions range from the general (power tool basics, 'ask a contractor' night, etc.), to the specific (deck building 101, make your home more energy efficient, etc.). We'll also use this first set of workshops to gauge what's popular and should be repeated throughout the year.

Thanks for your support - we hope to see you at the library soon!
